Creating a kind of rhythm and balance through art from the very beginning, it has always been my purpose and drive. Art, for me, is a therapy - a means to work through, and in part release parts that need it. Living with mental illness, art has been life saving many times over; an important part of survival and a life lived. I am self-taught in pretty much everything, I've been sketching for as long as I can remember. I opened up Photoshop for the first time with photomanipulation 18 years ago and immediately fell in love. I have been doing it ever since. A few years after starting in Photoshop, I picked up a camera and fell in love all over again. Over time adding different types of painting, film photography and processing, and other mediums to the mix.
Life is not all light, nor is it all darkness. It is a balance between the two, and I have found that balance through art.
